She is a rarity in the voiceover coaching world in that – in addition to teaching and mentoring – she works on voiceover projects every day.
Tanya began teaching ‘voice’ back in 1989, after receiving her Licentiate of the London Academy of Arts and Music (LLAM).
Tanya also holds a high achievement diploma for verse and prose from the Academy, along with gold medals for acting and speaking.
Over the years, Tanya has developed the skills of hundreds of young actors, aspiring and established voice over artists, pundits, lecturers, broadcasters, and business people – transforming them into confident, authoritative speakers. She calls it ‘Richcraft’.

Tanya also rents out her studio to artists visiting the area. Over the years, it’s welcomed actors like Andrew Lincoln, Matthew Rhys, Jason Donovan, Brendan Coyle, Paul McGann, and Mark Heap. Tanya even works with sports stars and journalists who need to do multiple broadcasts and need a quality, purpose-built studio.
Tanya is a professional voice over artist who has been in the business for 35 years and works daily from her ISDN studio.
During one-to-one lessons, you will get the opportunity to link up via ISDN with producers who do not know you, and who will work with you through a professionally directed session.
Your performance will be recorded and you will get feedback about how they think you will fit into the industry, based on your experience level. The session will give you a true reflection of your skills, where you could take them, and also the chance to potentially make industry contacts.
After enough training, and when the time is right, you can have a professional-standard showreel made for all disciplines of voiceover (radio commercials, corporate narrations, on hold etc).
When is the time right? When you are able to read copy in the correct manner without any assistance from Tanya. The right time is also when you can feel confident going into any professional voice situation and know exactly what you are doing.
RichCraft training events
Tanya offers training days for beginners. The courses allow groups of aspiring voiceover artists and voice actors to be introduced to her knowledge and expertise. During the day-long courses, Tanya and her male voiceover colleagues teach attendees the basic skills of voicing, before putting them to the test.
Tanya also offers 'Radio Play in a Day™' courses, which are more suited to experienced actors, who would like to learn more about the art of radio drama.
